Next Summer Institute: June 19 – 21, 2009
The Baroque Band Summer Institute is led by the orchestra’s principal musicians and guests, other internationally acclaimed musicians working in the field of baroque performance. Open to all, this intensive weekend of coaching is a chance to begin your exploration of baroque music or to advance existing knowledge and skills. Perform and learn alongside Baroque Band’s musicians in masterclasses, chamber ensembles, private lessons, lectures and workshops, classes in baroque dance, and concerts by both participants and faculty.
Advanced students, pre-professional and professional musicians are invited to apply to the special professional development program.
The Baroque Band Summer Institute is held at the Evanston Campus of the Music Institute of Chicago.
